Do you remember what you think of your love one the first time you meet each other? Have you ever find out whether their first impression is what make them like you?

I like to ask my friends what is their first impression of me not for dating purpose but to see if I’m consistent whenever I meet someone. Surprisingly they have similar answers about me. Thinking about it I’m glad that the answers are consistent.

The reason I bring up first impression is because I know how important it is for anyone who’s looking for a partner to have a good first impression. Well, in my eyes I think it’s more important to be your self rather than to be too good and disappoint each other. Why try so hard to be someone who you are not. I’m not saying that anyone should stop trying to be romantic or sweet but if you choose to do so, don’t forget your true color. For instance, let’s say you don’t like to cook, please don’t tell your date that you are a good cook because no matter how fancy and delicious you cook that night, your date would expect you to cook often if the two of you go into relationship. The best way is to be honest about it and mention that you don’t like cooking but you are willing to try it. At the end your partner would have an expectation that you would only cook when you are in the mood.

How important do you think is first impression in dating? What kind of first impression would touch your heart? What kind would turn you off from dating that person in the future?
