Climate Change and Global Warming

by nate on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008 | Inspiration, Knowledge, Life

For many years, large, influential businesses and governments have been against the idea of global warming. Many have poured a lot of resources into discrediting what has generally been accepted for a long time as real. Now, the mainstream is generally worried about climate change impacts and the discourse seems to have shifted accordingly. Even some businesses that once engaged in disinformation campaigns have changed their opinions, some even requesting governments for regulation and direction on this issue. However, a few influential companies and organizations are still attempting to undermine climate change action and concerns. Will all this mean a different type of spin and propaganda with attempts at green washing and misleading information becoming the norm, or will there now be major shift in attitudes to see concrete solutions being proposed and implemented?

    Certainly thought provoking.
I just cannot ‘buy’ into this thing of so called global warming being the fault of mankind.it is so much ‘junk science’.
Sure we should cut out our carbon emmissions, etc.
    This is just good housekeeping.

Our planet was born from a pollution event. Please read Immanuel Velikovsky’s books & visit

If anything weather/’clmate’ is getting cooler. At least where I live(Australia) Climate is very ‘patchy’, with temperatures ranging from 16′c or so in the early morning to almost 40′c
in the space of 2, or 3 hours.

I believe the ‘warming’ is a natural event. It’s happening on Mars. I don’t suppose there are any carbon emmissions out there?

Holy crap, that has got to be the most absurd and manipulative film I’ve ever seen. Absolute garbage and fear mongering. Stop shifting the focus from real pollution - which includes toxins in our soil and food, genetically modified organisms, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals in the water supply, oil spills in waterways, and on and on - to this ludicrous campaign against carbon dioxide, a life-giving gas that plants breathe.

“The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.
The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”

Earth temperatures have been falling since 1998, even though CO2 is increasing. Glaciers are growing in size, not melting.
There is no global warming and CO2 dies not affect it.
The planet has been warming and cooling on its own for millenia, without any assistance from mankind.
