The federal limit is 60 parts per million but Zhu Zhu pet had 93 parts per million in the fur and around 103 in the nose.

O Rourke said that as the Zhu Zhu toys aren’t even meeting the legal standards in the US, so he believes that it isn’t worth the risk to bring it home.
Goodguide said the main risk is when kids touch the toys and put the sake hand in their mouth or put the hamster directly in their mouth.

Well, O’Rourke is wrong. The federal standard for antimony in children’s toys is 60 ppm for soluble, not total, antimony in paints and coatings. The Good Guide tested the Zhu Zhu pets using an XRF analyzer (the same one I use in my testing business). The XRF analyzer only tests for total antimony, not soluble. You can’t compare apples to oranges and then demand a recall.
