Johnson & Johnson issued a massive recall Friday of over-the-counter drugs including Tylenol, Motrin and St. Joseph’s aspirin because of a moldy smell that has made people sick.
The recall includes some batches of regular and extra-strength Tylenol, children’s Tylenol, eight-hour Tylenol, Tylenol arthritis, Tylenol PM, children’s Motrin, Motrin IB, Benadryl Rolaids, Simply Sleep, and St. Joseph’s aspirin.
The FDA and Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Healthcare Products said they did not know the number of bottles recalled. It included caplet and geltab products sold in the Americas, the United Arab Emirates, and Fiji.
Consumers should check the full list here to identify the recalled batches. Customers can also find instructions on returning and getting refunds for the medicines at www.mcneilproductrecall.com or by calling 1-888-222-6036.
The FDA said about 70 people have been either sickened by the odor — including nausea, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea — or noticed it.

How do i get a refund on ada178

Raymond,
The easiest way would be to by calling 1-888-222-6036. I wish they have an online form submission but they currently have none! With that massive recall i’m sure their phone line is ringing 24×7.
Would anyone kindly share if they have apply for a refund?

I have spent two hours viewing all the websites, calling all the phone numbers, punching in all the numbers to listen to all the messages, and it is just a loop sending you back to the web, back to a phone number, etc. THERE IS NO REFUND INFORMATION. They obviously are not giving refunds, just expect us to throw it away and give up? Maybe stores are, but I’m not sure where I bought my HUGE bottle (that did indeed make my husband sick).

The recall coupon I was given a coupon by Tylenol is worthless. It has an expiration date of 4/30/10. I wanted to replace the large jar of Tylenol regular strength. I have been to at least 12 stores, all had signs saying that due to the recall they are short on Tylenol products and that they have not received (adequate?) shipments from the company. So, I have been able to get nothing and given the time and gas, I have spent more than the bottle I originally purchased. I called their number to complain and see what they will do. They say they will get back to you within 24 hours, but it is days and I never heard anything from them. Are they really serious about their refund policy or just giving consumers the run around. I am seriously thinking of filing a complaint with the appropriate federal agencies.

I have tried going to this website link and no matter what I enter for the Lot# is says it is not valid. What form of the Lot# will it recognize? Is this a scam?

I just tried the recall website and it keeps giving an error that the lot number is invalid, even though the lot number belongs to a bottle with the NDC 50580-167-01 that is listed in the recall. I just sent them an email directly and will be holding my breath for a response.

use the lot number near the expiry date…the one that is vertically printed..
