Sears Sunday Sales, Sears Black Friday Ad 2009 is coming
by bintangkecil on Sunday, November 15th, 2009 | Deals, Events, Hot, Stores | No Comments
Sears customers looking to score some excellent deals on Black Friday 2009 can not only take advantage of great deals on electronics, appliances, toys, tools and more, they don’t have to wait until next Friday, they can get some early bird specials this Sunday.
Buy your TV, Appliance or other gifts today and you’ll receive an additional 10% off any electronics purchase if you spend $699 or more and if that purchase is placed on your Sears card. The Sears early bird special is part of the companies Friends & Family VIP sale which provides 10% off Electronics and 5-15% off most sale items.
For example, Kenmore and Kenmore Elite appliances are 20% off regular prices, combine the Friends & Family discount and you’ll get 28% off! While there are quite a few discounted items, I’ve highlighted some of their biggest sales and combined the friends and family discount to give you an idea of how much you could save on your entire purchase.
TV’s are huge this year at Sears, as are appliances. If you’re in the market for a big screen HDTV then the Samsung 50″ PN50B530 1080p Plasma HDTV for $854.05 may be a great option for you, throw in the Sears Card discount of 10% and the deal is sweetened to $768.65. Rumors are circulating that in-store buyers may also be able to substitute the TV for the PN40B550, a better option for the same price.
If you’re more of a fan of the Panasonic brand you can also pick up the Panasonic VIERA 54″ TC-P54G10 1080p Plasma HDTV for $1424.99 or $1282.49 with your Sears card, that’s over $300 cheaper than it sells on Amazon and other etailers.
The Sony Bravia 46″ KDL46V5100 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV is also on sale for a respectable $940.49, combined with your Sears Card 10% Discount you’ll only pay $846.45, that unit is $1020 on Amazon.
Finally if you’re looking for an HDTV/Blu-Ray bundle you can buy any Sony Bravia 40″, 46″ or 52″ LCD TV and the Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Player and Sears will take $250 Off! your purchase price. Taking into consideration that the player sell for $210 by itself on Amazon it’s like their giving you a free Blu-Ray player and $40 in your pocket just for buying a big screen TV from them.
If appliances are more your thing you can pick up the Kenmore Elite White 25.0 cu. ft. TRIO Ice & Water Dispensing Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator for $1169.99, saving hundreds of dollars over the regular retail price. While the Kenmore Elite Stainless Steel 30 in. Gas Cooktop for $827.99 and any stainless steal appliance for under $1000 is a great bargain.
General store sales are also under way for that day with the following sale item percentage discounts:
* Extra 15% Off – Clothing, Cosmetics, Fragrances, Footwear, Accessories and Fine Jewelry
* Extra 10% Off – Almost Everything Else including Appliances, Toys, Tools, Auto, Lawn & Garden and More!
* Extra 5% Off – Regular and Sale Electronics
The Friends and Family sales is from 6-9PM on Sunday in store and all day Sunday at Sears online until 4am Monday morning. It may not be Black Friday yet, but no one told Sears. Happy hunting!

Sears Black Friday 2009: Weekly Sears Black Friday
by wildcherry on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 | Deals, Stores | No Comments
Sears “Black Friday Now” sale allows consumers the luxury of coming in to shop nearly two months before Christmas. It helps consumers that can’t make it out to Black Friday sales find the deals they desire.
Basically, instead of waiting until after Thanksgiving to give out great deals to budget shoppers, Sears is extending their sale during the entire months of November and December. Starting this Friday at 5 pm, doorbusters will be handed out. doorbuster deals will be handed out from 7 am to noon.
This year, Black Friday is more crucial for retailers than ever. Recently, an Office Max Black Friday ad was leaked by BFads.net. A cease & desist order from Office Max pulled the Black Friday ad from the site. The Office Max ad boasted deals on Acer netbooks, digital cameras, and more.
We’ll post all the Black Friday Ads on one article soon so check back often.
Netflix vs. Redbox vs. Blockbuster: What’s the Best Movie Rental?
by wildcherry on Monday, September 7th, 2009 | Deals, Stores | No Comments
Do you love to watch movies at home? Just wondering which one do you like to use the most? I’ve been using Redbox lately …i feel $1 for a movie rental is too good to pass up. I also sign up for Blockbuster or Netflix whenever they have a promo. Currently Blockbuster having a 6 weeks trial
Netflix DVDs arrive in a timely fashion and when a movie goes missing in the mail or is too scratched to work, the company takes responsibility and fixes it quickly Redbox, which rents DVDs for $1 a night through kiosks in grocery stores and other locations. Then there’s Blockbuster, the dinosaur rental outfit with brick and mortar stores as well as Netflix-like mail services.
Of the three businesses, Redbox is the fastest-growing, as the AP recently reported. There are more than 15,000 Redbox kiosks in the U.S.
Netflix
Offers the most basic subscription package (5.99/mo for 2 movies/mo. You know you need more.)
Offers streaming movies for some titles
More independant films
More comprehensive reviews/feedback
Blockbuster
Can use movies rented online as free coupons in-store
One free rental per month (which can be a game)
Nice drag and drop interface
Redbox
$1/nite
Very Limited selections
Have to pick up and drop at the locations
Redbox Kiosks begin Offering $2 Video Games Rental
by wildcherry on Monday, August 17th, 2009 | Deals, Stores | 1 Comment
Redbox is begin offering $2/night video game rentals, starting with kiosks in Reno, Nevada [update: and Wilmington, North Carolina]. Limited selection so far, but hard to beat the convenience. Redbox game rentals in Reno and Wilmington, North Carolina are just a test to “gauge consumer interest in video game rentals,” so no timing on a national rollout quite yet; Game discs from a Redbox kiosk are yours to keep after 25 days (meaning you’d pay a total of $50 to keep a game); While the current selection of Redbox video games is small, new games are being added “every week.” Another interesting detail from the Redbox rep: “We will be testing two different kiosk configurations – one with a combination of movies and video games and one with video games exclusively.” The current selection of games on Redbox is, unsurprisingly, pretty limited so far. While most of the major platforms are represented (besides PSP, that is), only about 45 titles are listed on the Redbox Web site, although such recent releases as Madden NFL 10, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, and UFC: Undisputed are present and accounted for. Also available: Old favorites like Assassins Creed, Call of Duty: World at War, Mario Kart for the Wii, Little Big Planet, and Uncharted. For now, Redbox customers can’t reserve their selections online before heading out to a kiosk, as they can do with DVD movies, and it’s not clear whether gaming reservations are on tap for the future (or at least, not yet; I have an e-mail in to Redbox PR asking about this issue, among others).
