For example, Kenmore and Kenmore Elite appliances are 20% off regular prices, combine the Friends & Family discount and you’ll get 28% off! While there are quite a few discounted items, I’ve highlighted some of their biggest sales and combined the friends and family discount to give you an idea of how much you could save on your entire purchase.

TV’s are huge this year at Sears, as are appliances. If you’re in the market for a big screen HDTV then the Samsung 50″ PN50B530 1080p Plasma HDTV for $854.05 may be a great option for you, throw in the Sears Card discount of 10% and the deal is sweetened to $768.65. Rumors are circulating that in-store buyers may also be able to substitute the TV for the PN40B550, a better option for the same price.

If you’re more of a fan of the Panasonic brand you can also pick up the Panasonic VIERA 54″ TC-P54G10 1080p Plasma HDTV for $1424.99 or $1282.49 with your Sears card, that’s over $300 cheaper than it sells on Amazon and other etailers.

The Sony Bravia 46″ KDL46V5100 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV is also on sale for a respectable $940.49, combined with your Sears Card 10% Discount you’ll only pay $846.45, that unit is $1020 on Amazon.

Finally if you’re looking for an HDTV/Blu-Ray bundle you can buy any Sony Bravia 40″, 46″ or 52″ LCD TV and the Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Player and Sears will take $250 Off! your purchase price. Taking into consideration that the player sell for $210 by itself on Amazon it’s like their giving you a free Blu-Ray player and $40 in your pocket just for buying a big screen TV from them.

If appliances are more your thing you can pick up the Kenmore Elite White 25.0 cu. ft. TRIO Ice & Water Dispensing Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator for $1169.99, saving hundreds of dollars over the regular retail price. While the Kenmore Elite Stainless Steel 30 in. Gas Cooktop for $827.99 and any stainless steal appliance for under $1000 is a great bargain.

General store sales are also under way for that day with the following sale item percentage discounts:

* Extra 15% Off – Clothing, Cosmetics, Fragrances, Footwear, Accessories and Fine Jewelry

Sears Black Friday 2009: Weekly Sears Black Friday

by wildcherry on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 | Deals, Stores | No Comments

Sears “Black Friday Now” sale allows consumers the luxury of coming in to shop nearly two months before Christmas. It helps consumers that can’t make it out to Black Friday sales find the deals they desire.

Basically, instead of waiting until after Thanksgiving to give out great deals to budget shoppers, Sears is extending their sale during the entire months of November and December. Starting this Friday at 5 pm, doorbusters will be handed out. doorbuster deals will be handed out from 7 am to noon.

This year, Black Friday is more crucial for retailers than ever. Recently, an Office Max Black Friday ad was leaked by BFads.net. A cease & desist order from Office Max pulled the Black Friday ad from the site. The Office Max ad boasted deals on Acer netbooks, digital cameras, and more.

We’ll post all the Black Friday Ads on one article soon so check back often.

Black Friday Ads 2009 available Online was a Fake

by wildcherry on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 | Business, News | No Comments

BF Ads sent an email to subscribers yesterday, saying it has posted what appears to be OfficeMax’s 48-item Black Friday ad.

“We originally hesitated on posting this advertisement because it appears to be a very early revision of their Black Friday advertisement. There are multiple misspellings (e.g. “consule” instead of “console” and “brower” instead of “browser”) and bad grammar throughout most of the advertisement,” BFads.net said in its email.

“On the positive side, all of the items look legitimate (correct SKU #’s) and the prices aren’t out of the ordinary for a Black Friday advertisement. ”

But buyer beware. By Friday afternoon the ad had been pulled from the site and there was a link to a cease and desist letter from Office Max’s lawyers.

“Not only is most or all of the information BFads.net is disseminating regarding OfficeMax advertisements and sales false or misleading, such information is also misapproriated OfficeMax confidential information,” the letter states.

BF Ads said it was their first cease and desist letter of 2009 and it “touches on some of the reasons why we were hesitant to post the advertisement in the first place.”

“While we warn that no advertisements released early on this site should be regarded as ‘official,’ the majority we receive turn out to be the final version of the advertisement. This was not the case with OfficeMax’s advertisement and to prevent visitor/buyer confusion, we are cooperating with this Cease & Desist and have removed the advertisement scan along with the item listings.”

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Judging from what appears to be a leaked ad for day-after-Thanksgiving sales, major stores will tempt shoppers - whose help is desperately needed to bolster the economy - with huge discounts.

Brad Olson, founder of Gottadeal.com, a Web site that markets itself as one of many “official” Black Friday deals sites, said he recently received a copy of what appeared to be Sears’ circular.

His reaction: “The deals are definitely better than last year.”

That’s not surprising given that most retailers -including Sears - have struggled all year with slumping sales amid a weak economy. Retailers are counting on a spending pick-up in the weeks ahead to salvage their year.

A Sears spokesman said he would consult with senior officials before commenting on the leaked ad.

Black Friday - which falls on Nov. 28 this year - is one of the busiest shopping days for the nation’s retailers. It also sets the tone for the November-December holiday shopping period, which can account for more than half of merchants’ annual profits and sales.

Consumer spending accounts for about two-thirds of the nation’s economy.

Details about Black Friday sales, which Sears (SHLD, Fortune 500), Wal-Mart (WMT, Fortune 500) and other retailers typically don’t officially unveil until mid-November, are awaited with great expectation by consumers.

Among the surprises in Sears’ ad - as posted on Olson’s site - are “doorbuster” deals, offered for a limited number of hours, on home appliances such as washer-dryers, a category that the retailer hasn’t heavily promoted in the past.

According to the leaked ad, Sears will offer early-bird shoppers a Kenmore high efficiency front-load washer-dryer set for $599.99 on Black Friday. That’s as much as 50% off the price of the individual washer and dryer.

“This really is an incredible deal, and it indicates how nervous retailers are about the season,” said Britt Beemer, retail analyst and chairman of America’s Research Group.

The ad indicates the department store chain is also slashing clothing prices by as much as 50% to 60%, and has set doorbuster sales on flatscreen TVs such as a Panasonic Viera 42-inch 720P for $699.99, down from its original price of $999.99, and a Samsung Blu-Ray disc player for $199.99.

“If retailers don’t have shoppers bursting through their doors on Black Friday then they’ll be in big trouble by the end of January,” said Beemer.

Even with Sears’ hefty discounts, Britt said it’s Wal-Mart’s Black Friday discounts that he and many other consumers will be waiting for.

“Wal-Mart’s prices will set the floor on where prices will be on toys, electronics and other holiday items,” he said. To top of page
