He is alive and I believe

by VeryBerry on Sunday, April 12th, 2009 | Diary, Inspiration, Life | 2 Comments

Saturday morning, I was just relaxing in my bedroom while checking my emails and browsing around the net. Came across several articles, posts and videos on Easter and the resurrection. I can still remember the first time when I talked to one of my friend in the Netherlands about Easter. It was one of those conversation around chocolate easter eggs we eaten that led to the true meaning of Easter.

There are so many theories, ‘discoveries’ and statements people made and believe but to me, through all these years and through all the miracles I’ve seen in my life, there is only one truth and that is Jesus was crucified and died but He has risen.
My conversation with this friend ended in me telling him the whole story about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. When he asked me ‘Why is this person named Jesus done all these?’ All I can say is because He loves us.
I think the beauty of Jesus’s sacrifice is the unconditional love and the freewill each of us has, to believe in His unconditional love.

There are plenty occasions in my life where I truly experiencing this unconditional love. Started with when I was in my mother’s womb, my mum was only 17 years old when God placed me inside her, she rejected this and she tried so many things to change His plan but it didn’t work and she gave up. When I was 12 years old, I almost end my life in a big traffic crash when I was riding motorcycles at 160km/hr but that was His unconditional love that saved me, took over the control of my hands on my motorcycle.
Growing up in Europe where most of my develoment process are influenced by my interest in Philosophy has sometime resulting in questions about Him. But truly He has never let me down, whatever the question is, it all come back to the truth that He has done it all…for all of us.
One of my friend here in London once said, Regine…it seems like in every ground you placed your steps, it’s fruitfull and it’s easy.

…And all I can say, it’s HIM and if He can do it for me, He will do it for you.

At the end of the day, it’s the freewill He has granted us, He will never force you to believe in the Truth simply because that’s not what love is all about. Whatever Easter means to the world, there is only one meaning to me and that is…He is alive and I believe. Happy Easter.

The Creation of “Amazing Grace”

by nate on Friday, April 10th, 2009 | Knowledge, Life | No Comments

Arguably the best-known Christian hymn is “Amazing Grace.” Its text, a poem penned in 1772 by John Newton, describes the joy and peace of a soul uplifted from despair to salvation through the gift of grace. Newton’s words are also a vivid autobiographical commentary on how he was spared from both physical and spiritual ruin. It relates the happy ending of the tale of a defiant man who manages again and again to escape danger, disease, abuse, and death, only to revert to “struggles between sin and conscience.” [ 1 ]

Newton was born in 1725 in Wapping, a London suburb that thrived on shipping and sea trade. His father, a merchant ship captain, was often away on sea voyages that typically lasted two to three years. During one of these absences, Newton’s mother succumbed to tuberculosis, leaving him in the temporary care of her friends, the Catlett family in Kent. His father remarried and Newton was placed in boarding school. He stayed in close contact with the Catletts, however, primarily because of their daughter, Mary, whom he eventually wed. Mary was the cornerstone of Newton’s existence. No matter what befell him, his goal always was to return to her.

In spite of the powerful message of “Amazing Grace,” Newton’s religious beliefs initially lacked conviction. Raised far… continue here.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

This song, says it all.

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! (how sweet the sound!)
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!

Thro’ many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

This earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be for ever mine.

Good Friday: The Best Friday Ever

by wildcherry on Thursday, April 9th, 2009 | Knowledge, Life | 1 Comment

Have you heard the phrase “Thanks God it’s Friday” (TGIF)? Well now it’s the chance for you to really appreciate Friday since this Friday is Good Friday. On this day Christians commemorate the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Well most of you might wonder, why do we need to rejoice about a person getting crucified?
The most straightforward explanation is because he needs to show the nonbeliever that he’s the Messiah.

Before Jesus was crucified, many people think he was a fake Messiah or a hoax. Therefore they decided to torture, bully and taunt him to show that he’s the real Messiah. He died on the cross after being left up there for six hours! Jesus did not die for nothing because on the third day (Easter Day) he raised up from the death and gain the trust and faith of many.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Have you experience the “crucifixion” of your faith? Please share with us about your faith.

For those of you who’s celebrating Good Friday and Easter,

I would like to say :
Thanks God It’s Friday!All federal offices will be open. All state offices will be closed.All banks will be open regular hours
