Tiger Woods Latest: SNL Tiger Woods Skit Video

by wildcherry on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 | Entertainment, News | No Comments

SNL Tiger Woods Skits aired last night on the popular NBC Saturday Night Live telecast hosted by ‘Total Babe for Tiger Woods’ Gossip Girl’s: Blake Lively.

Tiger Woods is played by Kenan Thompson and Lively is his wife Elin Nordegren. The setting is a CNN Situation Room report where SNL actor Jason Sudeikis is Wolf Blitzer. CNN breaks to a new Tiger Woods report explaining another accident that covers for the fact that she kicked his butt after his misstatements during press conferences!

On Saturday night’s episode, the NBC sketch comedy show made light of Tiger Woods’ scandalous week, satirizing reports - denied by the golfer - that his wife, Elin Nordegren, attacked him prior to his early-morning car accident on November 27 with a sketch featuring Keenan Thomson and host Blake Lively.

The show’s musical guest was Rihanna - a victim of domestic violence earlier this year from then-boyfriend Chris Brown — prompting concerns from several media outlets that the show’s humor was insensitive from some corners.

Taylor Swift Saturday Night Live Videos

by wildcherry on Sunday, November 8th, 2009 | Entertainment, News | No Comments

Taylor Swift finally got her chance to get back at Kanye West for storming the stage and interrupting her acceptance speech at September’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Taylor Swift didn’t waste any time addressing her personal life — or that Kanye West VMA incident, for that matter — during her hosting stint on this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” tackling both in her opening monologue. With, appropriately enough, a song.

Strumming her guitar to a tune called “The Monologue Song (La La La),” Swift sang lines like, “You might think I’d bring up Joe, that guy who broke up with me on the phone/ Hey, Joe, I’m doing real well, tonight I’m hosting ‘SNL’ ” (a reference, of course, to her former boyfriend, Joe Jonas). She also made light of the prevailing rumor that made fun of the VMA interruption in a promo for the episode, ended her monologue with another dig at West. “We’ve got a great show, ” she laughed. “Kanye West is not here”

Here’s the videos of her SNL performance:

What has Obama done to earn a Nobel Peace Prize?

by wildcherry on Tuesday, October 13th, 2009 | News, World | No Comments

“What has Obama done to earn a Nobel Peace Prize?” seems to be the going question here in the United States as well. Why grant the world’s most distinguished Peace award to someone with no concrete achievements to his credit and who is currently maintaining a strong military presence Iraq and in Afghanistan?

“Saturday Night Live” opened last night with a sketch mocking the president’s good fortune, starting with his Nobel Peace Prize win:
“This prize bestowed by the Nobel committee in Norway is given annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to world peace. Jimmy Carter won it for decades of trying to find solutions to international conflicts, Al Gore won it for his years of education [the] U.S. about climate change, and us? Well, I won it for not being George Bush.”

Obama (played by Fred Armisen) went on to announce that he had won the Powerball lottery jackpot as well. “The funny thing is it’s the first Powerball ticket I’ve ever bought. I was driving Sasha and Malia home from school and we stopped at a 7/11 for sodas. We all chose two numbers and there you have it: $70 million.”

Snl Obama Skit Video:The President Accomplishments

by wildcherry on Monday, October 5th, 2009 | Entertainment, News | No Comments

The SNL Obama skit that opened this week’s show satirized the President’s lack of achievements since taking office. As more and more people are pointing out, President Obama hasn’t delivered on his lofty promises after almost a year in office. After all, he and Oprah couldn’t even get Chicago the Olympics.

Since SNL is a supposed left-leaning program, it is more notable that they took Obama’s lack of a record down. But the SNL Obama skit may be another case of the President jumping the shark with liberals and the media. The SNL Obama said that it’s really the left that should be mad with him, not the right - and they are indeed starting to get impatient.

The skit pointed out that Obama can’t close Gitmo, get out of the Middle East, get health care, or fix the economy - as liberals are starting to notice. Having SNL say that may be a sign that criticism of Obama from the left is hitting the mainstream, and putting the President in trouble.

This kind of SNL Obama skit may not be as big as their Al Gore, George Bush and Sarah Palin sketches were in the past. For one thing, Fred Armisen seems to have officially given up on even trying to sound like the President anymore. But it gives conservatives another chance to claim that America is starting to wake up about President Obama.

However, the SNL Obama skit mainly objected that the President isn’t leftist or socialistic enough, so conservatives may still have reason to complain. The fact that they are complaining, even though the President has hardly brought down America and capitalism, was mocked just as much by the sketch.
